Erefaa Ogbuaku Jnr

Hello! I’m Erefaa Ogbuaku Jnr, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, EMDR therapist, and Mental Health Advocate. Prior to becoming a therapist, I served individuals from multicultural, diverse backgrounds and ethnicity for over a decade and worked in the community supporting individuals experiencing addictions. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from York University.

I understand the struggles and dynamics of a family unit and the challenges that individuals encounter. My aim is to support you whilst working towards greater personal understanding.

I utilize a client-centered approach from a holistic, cultural, trauma-informed, and inclusive framework while integrating techniques such as Eye-Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so we will work collaboratively in a safe and non-judgmental space, understanding your values, culture, beliefs, and reality, while encouraging you to be the best version of yourself.

I look forward to working with you and helping you on your journey to self-actualization.
